Blackened American Whiskey is a collaboration between Metallica and Master Distiller Dave Pickerell. It is a blend of hand-selected, well-aged North American bourbon and rye whiskeys. The whiskey is uniquely finished in black brandy casks and subjected to the “BLACK NOISE” sonic-enhancement process, where each batch is blasted with its own Metallica playlist.

This low-frequency sound wave treatment is said to extract more caramel, honey, and vanilla flavors from the wood, resulting in a robust and balanced whiskey.
